Getting to Plaisance du Touch

By Air

Fortunately the price of air fares has reduced considerably in recent years and, with a little planning ahead, it's not at all expensive to fly from Gatwick Airport direct to Toulouse. Both British Airways and Easyjet operate several times a day from Gatwick. The fare structures of both make it advisable to book as early as possible to get the best prices. Ticket prices are computer generated and depend upon a number of factors. They can fluctuate wildly over short periods of time so the best advice is to book early. Prices start at around £60 return per adult.

By Rail

To get ticketting information about getting to Plaissance by Rail vist the Rail Europe website . Toulouse return appears to be about £165 return per adult.

By Car

Are you a masochist? This is probably the most arduous way of getting there but if you've got places to see en-route then it's probably also the most rewarding. The Automobile Association estimate the 600 miles taking around 9 hours from Calais. Have a look at their website to see the suggested route and make variations to it.

By Sea

And so to the most expensive option for getting to Plaisance! (Prices start at £700 per car) Brittany Ferries operate a service to Santander in Spain and a few hours in a car from there will get you into Plaisance. I expect it's a very pretty drive along the foothills of the Pyrennes (but have to confess to never having done it)
